1951 Baseball

John Milroy coached the 1951 baseball team to the state title following a near-miss with the 1950 team. Returning lettermen Larry Padgett, John Garner, Barry Boyden, and Jim Williams led the 1951 team to an outstanding conference record, then followed the regular season with a convincing win against Clark College for the state title. Basketball stars Ed Pepple and Don Allen contributed on the diamond and were joined by pitchers Phil Johnson and Burt Estes as team leaders. Other players on the roster were Pete Erickson, Rod Ziebell, Bob Courtney, Homer Moore, Dick Oril, John Cappart, Dick Johnson, and Stu Marshlain.
